Again in 2020, we are hosting a Fairy and Dragon Sculpture Contest! Make a sculpture of a fairy or a dragon, 42″ minimum to 6 foot maximum and bring it on festival day (Saturday, June 13, 2002) before 8:15 am and you will be registered to WIN $500 CASH at the noon hour judging! Here are the rules on how your sculpture will be judged:

Saturday, June 8, 2019 … Blades of Glory sword challenges with the gorgeous knights in armour in their 40 x 40 foot arena! AND dancing!!! New for 2019 are Unicorn Rides AND a Fairy & Dragon Trolley whisking you about the Village from park to park and stopping at selected stores and eateries along the way! Have your photo taken with beautiful Fairy Princesses and some surprise dragon friends this year!! As well as Sparky The Dragon and Sparky the Firedog are coming, too!!! We shall feature the collecting game and dozens of vendors and have a trail map for you to walkabout the Village of Lakefield and see Jodi Hendricks’ gorgeous fairy doors on the front of businesses and Murray Lincoln’s too!, oh, and Penny from The Cozy Home made the dragon door at Celtic Connection and her own AMAZING fairy door at her store; please support everyone who makes it possible for us to enjoy a day of joy with all ages for the free festival being held at Isabel Morris Park behind the Lakefield Arena every year!
And the absolutest favourite clown ever invented … the best ever… RAZBERRY THE CLOWN!!! International award winning balloon maker!
And on Saturday, June 8th around 1 pm, we will have the return of the Kawartha Music Co. Fairies!
Steven Kenzora onsite carving demonstration! He’s the DragonMaster! VikingMaster! CastleMaster! And lucky to have his Jodi Hendricks with him to sell her gorgeous artisan fairy and dragon doors!
A new favourite! The Peterborough Academy for Circus Arts will present their Fairy & Dragon show at the 2019 Fairy and Dragon Festival! YAY founder Thomas Vaccaro!
John Foreman of Broad-Axe fame!
John built the outdoor Bancroft Bandshell and is known for creating beautiful wooden benches. Mr. Foreman demonstrated his broad-axe skills at our 2018 event AND it will be a bench that someone will be painting with fairies and dragons and installing in the Village! Yippee Yi Yay!
