Yes! Celebrate the Light Half of the Year tonight! My favourite beautiful way to celebrate Bealtaine, this beautiful fire festival, is with a bonfire. For Celts, the day begins at sunset, so the Bealtaine fires are set tonight. Imbolc, the Spring Equinox and now Bealtaine … all to celebrate the return of the sun and remind us that the Summer Solstice is coming soon (after that LONG winter this year!!!). Nowadays we have our long weekends here in Canada; these ancient calendar celebrations remind us that life is about to change as the calendar wheel turns… the first of the summer flowers are gathered, love is in the air and the veil is thinner so keep your eyes peeled for the fairies!
